Building a brighter future by supporting the education of underprivileged children one child at a time

Medical Health Clinic

  • When the school construction is completed, it is planned to have a dedicated medical clinic within the building. The school will function as a health clinic for the children, their families and the greater community by employing a doctor as part of the medical/health program.

Currently all children are checked by a doctor once a year and are treated where necessary. The school education program has a lifestyle component to teach good personal hygiene and to provide an avenue for any child requiring medical intervention. The costs of this service are currently covered by a business sponsor to SLUM, who wishes to remain annonymous. This buisness sponsor currently covers 100% of Bright Stars administration costs.
